Evidence-first · “Not recorded”, “not searchable” and “zero” are never treated as the same thing.
  1. Resolve location. UK postcodes use Postcodes.io / ONS-linked data. Place names use a UK-bounded geocoder.
  2. Keep canonical identifiers. When available, the record stores the official administrative GSS/ONS code.
  3. Attach evidence. FOI reference, source link, date, value and caveats stay with the point.
  4. Google verification. Every point can open at the same coordinates in Google Maps for a human cross-check.
  5. Future House AI. The same structured record can later be moved from browser storage into PostgreSQL and queried by House.
